Lead and mentor Cheese team members and foster strong working relationships by implementing programs in technical training, safety, quality, communications, performance recognition and internal employee development.
Dedicate time and resources to resolve equipment and maintenance related work orders to minimize production downtime.
Embody the mindset that safety is paramount, providing the team with the best training, equipment, and tools to be able to safely perform their jobs in a hazard free zone.
Lead and execute the department's quality systems to achieve and exceed goals.
Monitor team operations and make recommendations for labor and manufacturing efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.
Participate in safety investigations and corrective actions.
Monitor the Cheese Department's financial performance goals to ensure that a quality product is provided at the least possible cost.
Prior experience in food production quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) is highly desirable.
Job Requirements:
A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Chemical Engineering, OR equivalent work experience.
Two (2) years of previous experience as a supervisor, superintendent, or manager in a food, beverage, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
The ability and willingness to work an extended shift schedule.

Proficient computer knowledge with familiarity or ability to learn SAP or other manufacturing systems.
