Role Summary
Chauffeur/ Personal Driver provides safe, reliable, and professional transportation primarily for Japanese management staff, with occasional duties for other senior company personnel. This is a 1-year contract role commencing in January 2026, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and operational needs. The role requires discretion, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility to support variable schedules, including early mornings and late evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport Japanese management staff as primary passengers, with occasional driving for other senior company staff.
- Plan efficient routes, anticipate traffic conditions, and adjust itineraries based on real-time updates.
- Provide courteous, professional, and culturally sensitive service aligned with Japanese business etiquette.
- Maintain the car in immaculate condition, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and optimal performance at all times.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and arrange scheduled servicing, repairs, and inspections proactively.
- Keep the vehicle fuelled, clean, and ready for immediate deployment.
- Assist with loading/unloading luggage, documents, or personal belongings.
- Maintain strict confidentiality about destinations, schedules, discussions, and sensitive information.
- Run errands such as delivering documents or collecting parcels as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Licensing
- Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence (Class 3A may be considered).
- Defensive driving or professional chauffeur certification is an advantage.
Experience
- A clean driving record and proven safe driving habits, with 3-5 years of experience as a personal chauffeur in Singapore.
- Prior experience serving Japanese expatriates or senior executives is highly preferred.
- Comfortable driving luxury sedans and executive-class vehicles.
Skills & Personal Attributes
- Polite, well-presented, and customer-oriented.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore roads, highways, peak hour conditions, and alternative routes.
- High level of confidentiality, reliability, and professionalism.
- Physically fit to assist with light lifting and errands.
- Flexible and able to accommodate sudden schedule changes and long working hours.
Working Hours & Conditions
- Working days: Monday to Saturday.
- Earliest start: 6:00 AM latest end: 8:30 PM or later, depending on management needs.
- Must remain contactable at all times during working hours and working days.
- Extended hours, overtime, and last-minute assignments may be required.
- Strong punctuality and reliability are essential.
