We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Chartering Manager to join our team in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Chartering Business Management: Responsible for the chartering of Cape/Panamax etc. dry bulk vessels, ensuring smooth negotiation and execution of charter parties.
- Market Analysis & Business Development: Monitor shipping market trends, analyze market dynamics, identify new business opportunities, and expand client resources.
- Cargo-Vessel Matching & Contract Negotiation: Match cargoes with vessels based on market demand, negotiate and finalize chartering contracts to align with the company's business objectives.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain long-term cooperative relationships with shipowners, cargo owners, and brokers to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as operations, finance, and legal to ensure the smooth execution of chartering activities.
- Shipping Documentation Management: Draft, review, and finalize charter party agreements and related shipping documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Risk Control: Identify and assess potential risks in chartering operations, develop effective mitigation strategies to safeguard company interests.
- Daily Operations Coordination: Monitor vessel operations, coordinate and resolve unforeseen issues during voyages to ensure smooth cargo transportation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years relevant working experience
- A dynamic and ambitious team player with a proven track record in chartering.
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers, brokers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking internal and external personnel
