Chartering Manager (Dry Bulk)

Responsibilities

• Handle freight enquiries and provide freight offers for spot shipments and COAs
• Negotiate and manage shipping contracts
• Coordinate with operations teams to monitor voyage execution and ensure smooth operations
• Manage chartered vessels in accordance with contractual terms
• Support post-fixture activities including laytime, freight, and hire settlements
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, vessel owners, brokers, agents, and counterparties
• Conduct port and market research, including port costs and restrictions
• Provide market updates and freight intelligence to internal teams
• Maintain voyage and chartering records accurately

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related discipline
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in dry bulk chartering with operational exposure
• Familiarity with Handysize / Supramax / Ultramax / Panamax vessels preferred
• Good understanding of dry bulk shipping markets and chartering operations
• Experience handling commodities such as coal, iron ore, grains, or similar cargoes is advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel knowledge of IMOS is an advantage
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
