About the Role:
The Channel Sales Manager will manage and oversee Singapore sales operations, responsible for driving sales performance, executing strategic sales initiatives and ensuring effective merchandising across all sales channels.
What You'll Do:
1.Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement national sales and channel strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Provide guidance to the key accounts & sales team in executing key initiatives, promotions, and trade programs.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Ensure effective sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting to align with business objectives.
2. Sales Performance & Business Review:
- Monitor robust key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales growth, trade execution and profitability.
- Conduct regular business reviews with Business Strategy Lead and retail partners to evaluate performance and review strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with Principal and cross-functional teams (trade marketing, customer service) to optimize sales execution.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on sales performance and market insights
3. Key Account & Retail Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and business partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, trade agreements, and promotional programs with key accounts.
- Work closely with Key Account Managers & Sales Team to enhance visibility and availability of products in stores.
- Conduct regular trade visits to assess execution and identify areas for improvement/opportunities.
4. Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide guidance and coaching to the Key Accounts and Sales Team to enhance their commercial performance and capabilities.
- Set clear objectives and provide regular feedback to drive a high-performance sales culture.
- Foster collaboration between teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
5. A&P Management:
- Management of Retail A&P funds for Trade and Space Display Investments, Promotion Claims and Retailer Operating Costs
6. Compliance:
- Compliance with SOP, Code of Conduct, ISO standards, and any other rules or regulations deemed as necessary by the management
What You'll Bring:
- University Degree: BS or BA in Business Administration, Marketing or other related degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in consumer healthcare/OTC, FMCG or retail industries.
- Experience in merchandising, trade marketing, and retail execution
- Confident and has a strong sense of accountability
