Job Summary:
The Channel Sales will be responsible for driving and expanding D-Link's presence in the Singapore retail and superstore channels. This role will involve managing relationships with key retail partners, ensuring the successful promotion and sales of D-Link products, and achieving sales targets. The Channel Sales will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies that maximize retail distribution, improve brand visibility, and increase revenue within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local retail market, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to foster long-term relationships with retail partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel Development & Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, including superstores, IT retailers, and e-commerce platforms in Singapore.
Identify new potential retail partners and develop new business opportunities in the channel.
Ensure the efficient execution of sales strategies within the retail sector, driving D-Link product sales in stores and online.
- Sales Target Achievement:Set and monitor sales targets for retail accounts in collaboration with the regional sales team.
Drive channel growth and ensure the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Analyze sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and develop strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Product Promotion and Merchandising:Oversee product placement and merchandising in retail outlets to enhance visibility and drive customer engagement.
Collaborate with retail teams to ensure that D-Link products are adequately represented in-store through promotional activities, displays, and marketing materials.
Support retail partners with training on D-Link product features, benefits, and customer value propositions.
- Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and threats within the retail space.
Provide feedback to D-Link's product and marketing teams based on insights from the retail channel.
- Marketing & Promotions:Work closely with the marketing department to plan and execute joint marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, and product launches that drive foot traffic and sales.
Ensure timely and effective promotional campaigns are implemented across retail partners to boost product sales.
- Relationship Management:Serve as the main point of contact for all retail partner inquiries, ensuring excellent communication and a high level of customer service.
Conduct regular visits to retail outlets to build relationships, understand customer needs, and provide support.
- Reporting & Performance Tracking:Track, measure, and report on retail sales performance against targets, KPIs, and key metrics.
Provide regular updates to management on the sales pipeline, key wins, and opportunities for growth within the retail channel.
Use CRM tools and analytics to manage accounts and monitor performance.
- Channel Support & Customer Satisfaction:Provide ongoing support to retail partners, helping them to resolve issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure retail partners are equipped with the right tools, training, and support for success.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in channel sales, retail sales, or account management, preferably in the technology or networking industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Singapore retail landscape, including experience working with IT superstores, large retail chains, and e-commerce platforms.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities analytical skills for market analysis and sales forecasting
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify problems and implement solutions to meet sales goals and improve retail performance.
- Language: Proficiency in English (additional languages, such as Mandarin, will be an advantage).
- Travel: Willingness to travel within Singapore for store visits, partner meetings, and events.
