Role Overview
As a Refurbishment Technician, you will be responsible for refurbishing, repairing, and testing analytical instrumentsprimarily LC systemsto deliver likenew performance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities
- Repair, refurbish, and test used LC systems to Agilent likenew standards.
- Perform calibration, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities across instruments used in GMP manufacturing, utilities, and laboratory environments.
- Collaborate effectively within a crossfunctional team.
- Maintain accurate and complete repair documentation.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Review, follow, and help maintain factory work instructions.
- Identify and propose opportunities for process improvements.
- Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to learn and crosstrain across additional product portfolios.
Qualifications
- Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred. Candidates with relevant higher education, specialized training/certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Typically requires 13 years of handson experience in instrument repair, maintenance, calibration, or related technical roles.
- Experience with Agilent LC, GC, and Mass Spectrometry products is highly preferred.
- Relevant work experience in troubleshooting - software and hardware.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Demonstrated expertise with ERP Systems (SAP / Agile).
- Ability to assist peers with complex technical issues.
- Proficiency in Excel for data entry and report generation.
- Understanding of bill of materials (BOM), part numbering, and product configurations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global team members.
- Customerfocused mindset with strong selfmotivation.
- Comfortable working in environments with shifting priorities and frequent interruptions.
- High degree of ownership, diligence, and attention to detail.
- Acts with integrity in all interactions.
