Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Market Research and Strategy Development

. Analyze the AI market and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities for growth and innovation.

. Develop and execute a business development strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals.

. Stay informed about the latest developments in AI technology and how they can be leveraged for business growth.

2. Partnerships and Relationship Building

. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry leaders, technology partners, and investors.

. Develop and manage strategic partnerships to expand the company's market presence.

. Identify potential collaborators, such as other tech companies, research institutions, and startups, to create synergies in the AI field.

3. Sales and Revenue Generation

. Drive the sales process by identifying new customers, nurturing leads, and closing deals.

. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop customized AI solutions for potential clients.

. Negotiate contracts, manage pricing, and oversee the execution of AI solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

4. Product and Service Development

. Collaborate with product and technology teams to define customer requirements and market needs for AI solutions.

. Help shape the development of AI products or services based on customer feedback and market demands.

. Evaluate and recommend new AI technologies and tools to improve the company's offerings.

5. Leadership and Team Management

. Lead and mentor a business development team, setting clear goals and providing guidance to drive performance.

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and R&D, to achieve business objectives.

. Monitor the performance of the business development initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.

6. Financial Planning and Budgeting

. Oversee budgets related to business development activities, ensuring cost-effective strategies and investments.

. Provide forecasts for potential revenue streams and track the financial performance of business development efforts.

Qualifications

. Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field such as business administration, computer science, engineering, or a similar discipline. An MBA with a focus on technology or innovation is often preferred.

. Experience: Typically 5-10 years of experience in business development or sales, with a senior leadership role, preferably in the AI or technology industry.

. Industry Certifications: Certifications in business development, AI, or technology management are a plus.

. Proven Track Record: Successful history of driving growth and expanding market share in a competitive, technology-driven industry.

. Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate with English and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
