Job Description

Title: Centre Manager, Community Elder Care

Location: Singapore

Our client is a leader in the community care sector.

They are looking for a driven, and dynamic Centre Manager to lead their Active Ageing Centre. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, drive community engagement initiatives, and manage programmes designed to support the physical, mental, and social well-being of seniors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day operations of the centre, adhering to regulatory standards, licensing requirements, and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee the design and implementation of holistic active ageing programmes not limiting to physical wellness, social activities, lifelong learning, and preventive health.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with various stakeholders within the eco system, not limiting to local residents, grassroots organisations, corporate partners, and volunteers to drive senior outreach and active participation.
  • Coordinate welfare checks, befriending services, and social support referrals for vulnerable or frail seniors living in the vicinity.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team of programme coordinators, social work associates, and support staff.
  • Work closely with government agencies, healthcare partners, and external vendors to optimize resources and deliver quality services.
  • Manage the centre's budget, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular reports for management and funding bodies such as AIC.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Gerontology, Allied Health, Counselling, Psychology, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity—preferably within the social service, eldercare, healthcare, or community development sectors.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in operational planning, volunteer management, and budgeting.
  • Understanding of MOH/AIC service models and other related care models or services
  • Strong commitment to service quality and ethical practices within funded service environments.
