Job Description

Summary of the Position

The Logistics and Inflight Product Division (DLPV) is the entity responsible for implementing the onboard product on our aircrafts, in line with our customers expectations. In collaboration with the Customer Experience team, this division:

- Designs the menus and develops the wine list

- Develops associated equipment (tableware, etc.) as well as items ensuring the comfort of customers and crews (blankets, pillows, coffee pots, corkscrews, etc.)

- Organizes the storage of items on the aircraft

- Defines onboard service methods

- Oversees the entire supply chain (sizing, sourcing, and distribution)

- Manages the services and ensures compliance

- Provides guidance on cabin dressing requirements

Compliance is also at the heart of our activity, as the team contributes to monitoring and adjusting the management processes for our service providers and caterers, with the aim of improving compliance, customer satisfaction, and the airline reputation. This strategy notably includes facilitating access to data and enhancing the added value derived from its use.

In this context, the Regional outstations compliance coordinator will have to:

- Lead and coordinate the network of compliance control stakeholders (locals controllers).

- Ensure that station inspections are well made by the controllers.

- Report to the various departments on the activities performed by internationals suppliers, by sharing data to support effective daily decision-making.

- Regularly visit the stations within their scope.

- Provide support to controllers in carrying out their daily duties.

- Collaborate with the various internal AF teams to identify needs at the stations, propose suitable solutions, and support change.

Organizational Position

The Regional Coordinators for Cleaning and Catering Compliance will report hierarchically to the Regional Station Managers. DLPV will provide functional guidance on processes, standards and compliance matters.

Context / Challenges

With all the investments made since COVID-19 to upgrade our signature chef dishes, improvements to service levels in all cabins, and with the goal of achieving the 5-star Skytrax rating, the AF and AF-KLM General Management are requesting that DL.PV implement much more stringent controls on service providers and caterers, both in Paris and at our terminals.

Competition between airlines to upgrade our product is fierce, this urgent priority requires expertise in the flight product, our internal organization, and our service providers, agility, open-mindedness, and a capacity for innovation and process change, as well as a particular sensitivity to the world of social media and other digital data sources in today's world.

The current analysis situation does not allow to focus on dedicated issues and that is why we need reliable feedback, controls and data from our outstations to improve the quality service level delivered on board to meet the strategy launched in CDG.

Main Duties

Compliance Management

- Plan, monitor, and manage controls / activities carried out within the stations.

- Regularly visit sites: covering a scope of 10 to 15 stations / regional coordinators for cleaning catering compliance and lounge

- Visit at least one station per quarter and be present during the visit of the CDG team (DLPV / LOGEX).

- Coordinate travels according to changes of menus or new developments.

- Attend presentations at caterers for each cycle of menus.

- Stay informed about events occurring at CDG (stock shortages, IT bugs, etc.).

Governance

- Assign compliance control tasks to the local controllers under the scope, taking into account operational workload

- Monitor the activity of controller and ensure that the required controls are carried out.

- Make sure that the control process is properly respected.

- Ensure the reliability of collected data

- Maintain under control the services delivered by our suppliers

Reporting

- Participate in meetings (REX / performance reviews / etc.).

- Consolidate date, Produce a weekly/monthly report activity and share with relevant stakeholders.

- Issue alerts warning in case of unusual situations, critical issues, or blocking points.

- Sharing observations made on the ground, creating reports on current topics.

- Check the achievement of objectives and measure the progress of action plans at caterers, cleaners and laundries and lounges.

Communication

- Report to:

  • the Station manager / Area Teams for cleaning and lounge matters
  • the Outstation compliance manager (DLPV) and Outstation Catering Managers for Galley, cabin, laundry, food quality, food safety and logistics matters

Ensuring compliance: Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the necessary resources and

activities to achieve defined objectives, while respecting time, budget, and quality constraints.

Improving processes and operational efficiency of the AF subcontractors: Applying defined

controls on processes and compliance, monitoring the results and make proposals to improve the

compliance.

Actively contributing to internal/external committees: Participating in internal and external meetings to inform the project managers CDG / Area Teams / ground operations.
