Category Manager (Land Freight/Transportation)

Overview

My client is an industry leading listed MNC in the Healthcare space. They are currently in transformation (upgrading people, process, and systems) phase and now looking to hire for an strategic procurement professional to manage their logistics spend, especially covering but not limited to land freight/transportation (trucking) and warehouse services.

If you are someone with strong experience designing and executing category management strategies and negotiating with freight forwarders/couriers/3PL partners this role will be a great fit for you!

• Full-time, permanent role (newly created)
• Reporting to Director (based in Singapore)
• Hybrid work arrangements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or relevant field (Master's degree would be an advantage)
• CIPS/APICS certification would be an advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in Strategic Procurement role (sourcing, negotiation, strategy design) for Logistics/Freight/Transportation category/spend will be required
• Knowledge of macroeconomic factor and its influence to freight rates/pricing
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills (presentations, negotiations and influence/persuasion)
• Shipper side experience preferred, open to consider candidates from service side (carrier/freight forwarder)

Remuneration

• 9,000 to 12,000 SGD per month + AWS + VB

*Negotiable depending on experinece and suitability
