The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with a global engineering solutions provider supporting complex OEM projects across industrial sectors. We are hiring a Category Manager / Commodity Manager to lead sourcing strategies for electrical components and cable assemblies within a high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Work location: North
- Work hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
The Job:
- Develop and execute category strategies for electrical components and cable assemblies
- Conduct market analysis to identify cost drivers and sourcing opportunities
- Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, and development programs
- Support NPI and production transfer with supplier readiness planning
- Drive cost optimization through negotiations, TCO analysis, and sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations on technical procurement needs
The Talent:
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- 5+ years procurement experience in electrical or mechatronics components
- Experience sourcing electrical assemblies, connectors, or cable harnesses
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in cost modeling and TCO analysis
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work with cross-functional teams
