Job Description

Blackmores Group is a leading natural health company with proud Australian heritage, with extensive reach across Asia Pacific. Founded by visionary naturopath Maurice Blackmore in 1932, our vision is to connect every person on earth to the healing power of nature by combining our knowledge of nature and science to deliver quality health solutions to people and their pets everywhere, every day.

Blackmores Group operates in over 11 markets, with headquarters and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Australia, and offices across South East Asia and China.

Purpose of role:

The Category Analyst is responsible for delivering clear, actionable insights to support business growth across the SEAK region.

The role uses data from sources like IQVIA, Nielsen, and retailers, combining technical skills (Power BI, SQL) with category understanding to turn data into meaningful recommendations.

It also ensures consistent reporting, builds automated dashboards, and supports teams with insights that can be applied across different markets while staying aligned with global standards

Responsibilities include:

Category Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Analyse category, segment, brand and SKU performance across SEA markets using IQVIA, Nielsen and retailer scan data.
  • Track and interpret key KPIs including sales, share, distribution, rate of sale, pricing, promotion effectiveness, and mix.
  • Identify performance drivers and growth opportunities at regional and market level, factoring in channel and customer dynamics.
  • Deliver harmonised category views while allowing for local market nuances

Technical Analytics, Data Modelling & Automation

  • Build and manage Power BI dashboards using robust data models, validated measures and standardised KPI logic.
  • Automate recurring reporting and analysis processes to improve speed, accuracy and scalability.
  • Act as a technical bridge between commercial teams and data/IT functions where required.

Stakeholder & Market Support

  • Partner with global, regional and local market teams to support planning cycles, business reviews, category reviews and key initiatives.
  • Enable local teams by providing standard tools, dashboards and frameworks, reducing ad‑hoc reporting needs.
  • Act as a trusted analytical advisor to Category Development, Sales & Marketing

Insight to action & Commercial Enablement

  • Translate category, channel, customer, and SKU-level analysis into specific, executable recommendations aligned to growth objectives.
  • Clearly articulate the What / So What / Now What in all deliverables.
  • Identify incremental growth levers (e.g. distribution expansion, pricing actions, promo optimisation, range changes) and quantify potential impact where possible
  • Develop insight packs that guide decision-making for:
  • Range optimisation and SKU role clarity
  • Pricing gaps, architecture and price execution
  • Channel and customer opportunity prioritisation

Who are you

  • Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, accounting, data analytics or equivalent field
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in data analytics related role
  • Advanced Power BI (data modelling, DAX, performance optimisation)
  • Strong SQL capability (querying, joins, transformations, data validation)
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot)
  • Hands-on experience with IQVIA and Nielsen data sets
  • Ability to convert analytics into clear commercial recommendations
  • Confident in synthesising large, complex datasets into focused insights
  • Experience working across multiple markets or regions is highly preferred
  • Experience integrating retailer scan data across multiple markets or customers
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to turn data into clear insights
  • Agile, proactive, and able to manage priorities while adapting to change
  • Strong communicator who builds relationships and delivers customer-focused results
