Regional Category & Marketing Manager (Sweet & Beverage), APAC

The Regional Category & Marketing Manager leads category marketing strategy and execution across APAC, driving growth and innovation across Beverage, Dairy and Sweet Goods applications. Acting as the regional category expert and key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, this role translates global business strategy into locally relevant marketing plans, shapes portfolio direction from product ranges to lifecycle management, and partners closely with Commercial and Technical teams to accelerate innovation adoption and secure key account success.

The Position:

  • Develop relevant, actionable Insights and compelling customer-specific value propositions and insights-driven concepts for Global and Regional Key Accounts, covering brand landscape, portfolio positioning and competitive analysis to drive key growth initiatives
  • Develop and execute regional APAC portfolio strategy for strategic categories, ensuring alignment with overall growth ambitions and business objectives.
  • Own and manage the entire full category lifecycle including pricing, product lifecycle management, value proposition development, gap closure and ongoing competitive landscape monitoring
  • Lead market and business intelligence efforts, translating data and trends into strategic recommendations that inform portfolio and commercial decisions
  • Actively drive the introduction and management of new raw materials, ensuring seamless integration into the product and innovation pipeline
  • Champion internal initiatives and projects that strengthen and differentiate Symrise's positioning within the marketplace
  • Influence portfolio direction and product promotions, proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand market presence.
  • Initiate and lead new product development in close collaboration with internal cross functional teams, ensuring concepts are commercially viable and customer-relevant.
  • Build and nurture a strong network and ecosystem to explore new business models and local sourcing opportunities.
  • Monitor and track project progress in close coordination with internal project teams, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry or related disciplines; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Sales. Business Development or Key Account Management within the Flavor, Food Ingredients or FMCG Industries
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and marketing trends across Food & Beverages and Flavor with the ability to apply both technical and commercial perspectives.
  • Proven commercial and analytical acumen with regional APAC business experience and the ability to translate complex data and insights into customer-relevant, actionable initiatives.
  • Effective project management skills with experience facilitating cross functional collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong solution-based selling and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to drive the growth agenda.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse countries and cultures, driving results through influence rather than authority.
  • Self-disciplined, result-oriented and highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regional environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP or equivalent business systems.
