Job Description

Position: Case Manager (6 Months)

Department: Psychosis

Section: CHAT - Centre of Excellence for Youth Mental Health

Job Description

  • To provide text-based online mental health counselling service (webCHAT) for young people aged 16 30.
  • To support CHAT research.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and empathetically to young people reaching out to webCHAT, ensuring they feel heard and supported during moments of motivation and vulnerability.
  • Guide young people to develop effective coping skills, problem-solving strategies, and fostering self-awareness to promote personal growth.
  • Equip young people with relevant mental health resources by directing them to appropriate self-help tools and community mental health services tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain professional counselling standards, ethical practice, and engagement in supervision
  • Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in case notes
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, and support crisis management, managing these risks as appropriate.
  • Participate in CHAT research projects under supervision.

Educational And Professional Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or any other relevant qualifications as approved by CHAT management
  • Some experience in working with young people is preferred
