Job Description & Requirements
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Selecting, measuring, and marking appropriate materials for interior paneling and trims.
- Cutting and shaping materials and joining them using glue, nails, screws, and bolts.
- Measuring, cutting, and installing various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, furniture, etc.
- Erecting scaffolding or ladders as needed.
- Collaborating with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects.
