CARPENTER

Responsibilities

• Perform wood cutting, slotting, sanding, assembling, and other carpentry tasks according to drawings or instructions.

• Produce, install, and repair wooden furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, and other wooden structures.

• Operate various woodworking machinery and tools such as table saws, electric drills, sanders, planers, and nail guns.

• Carry out surface finishing of wooden products, including sanding, edging, painting, and minor repairs.

• Inspect product dimensions and quality to ensure compliance with production requirements and safety standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of tools and equipment.

• Assist in material handling and keep the work area clean and safe.

• Perform any other carpentry-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Prior carpentry experience preferred (furniture carpentry / renovation carpentry / factory carpentry).

• Familiar with the use and basic maintenance of woodworking machinery and hand tools.

• Able to read simple drawings or measurement instructions (added advantage).

• Physically fit, with good coordination, and able to carry wood panels and materials.

• Safety-conscious and able to follow work procedures and safety regulations.

• A good team player, able to work independently and complete tasks on time.

• Willing to work overtime or shifts when required.
