Senior Wood Carpenter (Specialised Carpentry - 15 Years Singapore Experience)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Wood Carpenter with at least 15 years of hands-on carpentry experience in Singapore to handle specialised and complex woodworks for interior fit-out and custom carpentry projects.

This role requires advanced technical skills, deep knowledge of Singapore site practices, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Due to the complexity of works and project requirements, extensive local carpentry experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced and specialised carpentry works, including custom-made furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, feature walls, timber fixtures, and built-in wood structures.

• Interpret and execute works based on technical drawings, shop drawings, and site measurements with high accuracy.

• Manage on-site carpentry installation independently, ensuring works are completed according to project timelines and quality standards.

• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving solutions for complex site conditions and design adjustments.

• Select suitable wood materials, laminates, veneers, and hardware based on project specifications and functional requirements.

• Operate woodworking machinery and tools safely and efficiently in accordance with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

• Conduct quality checks and rectification works to meet client and consultant expectations.

• Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and helpers, ensuring proper workmanship and productivity.

• Coordinate closely with project managers, designers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of carpentry experience in Singapore, with proven track record in interior fit-out and custom carpentry works.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore construction standards, site practices, and safety regulations.

• Ability to handle complex, high-value carpentry projects independently.

• Skilled in precision carpentry and high-quality finishing works.

• Experience in supervising workers and maintaining quality control on-site.

• Required to meet project deadlines and workmanship standards that demand specialised and senior-level expertise.
