Carpenter

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials.
• Construct and install frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames.
• Repair and maintain wooden structures and fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Work on-site to ensure quality and accuracy of work.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Requirements

Education:

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Vocational training in carpentry or related field is an advantage.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a construction or renovation setting.
• Familiarity with different carpentry techniques and materials.

Skills:

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• Good attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Physical stamina and strength for manual labor.
