Carpenter

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on Execution: Directly oversee and participate in the fabrication and installation of custom cabinetry, wardrobes, and feature walls.

• Team Supervision: Manage a team of local and foreign skilled carpenters. You must be able to communicate tasks clearly and maintain high morale on-site.

• Project Coordination: Liaise with Interior Designers (IDs) and Project Managers to ensure site measurements are accurate and timelines are met.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct stringent Level & Square checks. Ensure finishing (laminates, edging, and hinges) meets luxury standards before handover.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all worksites comply with WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) Act and MOM regulations.

• Material Management: Manage inventory and hardware (Blum, Hafele, etc.) to minimize wastage and prevent project delays.

  Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 10 years of carpentry experience in the Singapore renovation industry.

  • Technical Savvy: Expert at reading ID drawings and converting them into cutting lists.

  • Knowledge of Materials: Deep understanding of local materials (solid plywood, blockboard, various laminates, and wood veneers).

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HDB renovation guidelines and BCA standards.

  • Language: Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin or Malay is highly preferred to coordinate effectively with a diverse workforce.

  • Physical Fitness: Capability to handle heavy loading/unloading and work in non-air-conditioned site environments.
