Formwork Erection: Measure, cut, and assemble timber, plywood, or metal forms according to structural blueprints to hold wet concrete until it sets.
Installation & Dismantling: Securely install these molds into position, and carefully dismantle them once the concrete has reached sufficient strength.
Safety Compliance: Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices, including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during on-site assembly.
Material Management: Calculate material take-offs and efficiently manage timber and formwork panels on site to minimize material wastage.
Job Requirements
Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings correctly.
Physical Stamina: Capability to work outdoors, climb scaffolding, stand for prolonged periods, and lift heavy loads.
Tool Proficiency: Experience operating a variety of hand and heavy-duty power tools (e.g., circular saws, drills, and pneumatic nailers).
Training (Singapore-specific): Many employers look for safety certifications (like the Construction Safety Orientation Course - CSOC) and relevant vocational training or trade certificates.
