The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Attach-and-Train) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore's Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand.
The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. Due to the nature of this traineeship programme, kindly note that training allowances are CPF exempted.

Trainee to be involved in:
Provide physical characterization for a range of drug substances (API) as part of continued process verification and influence the optimization of primary and secondary manufacturing processes to improve right first-time performance, product quality, robustness, cost savings, manufacturability etc. in line with GMP requirements
Review and improve physical properties analytical methods, procedures and standards in accordance with pharmacopoeial requirements or other analytical technical standards, support analytical method technology transfers, including method troubleshooting and optimization, ensuring analytical method robustness during the product lifecycle
Generate physical properties data, including its interpretation and reporting, to support comparability studies of drug substance (API) and excipients to support material and process changes/ improvements as well as root cause analysis in deviations/ investigations to ensure security of supply
Qualification and lifecycle maintenance (including preventive maintenance/ calibration and performance verification checks) of physical properties analytical equipment to appropriate analytical technical standards, aligned with GMP and data management principles with mitigation of data integrity risks
Ensure proper and complete documentation on work and method procedures (standard operating procedures, work instructions) and data for all analysis carried out (includes laboratory notebooks, technical memos, analytical raw data, risk assessments, etc) in compliance with GMP and GLP requirements, ensuring traceability and retrievability of archived data
Lead/ support laboratory environmental health and safety (EHS) and sustainability initiatives
Supervise and train interns to ensure good and safe work practices, quality and reliability of data and to support personnel development and capability build
Education / Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent, with minimum of 2 years working experience in a different role / industry
Experience in a laboratory environment in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent is desired
Competencies / Skills
Sound knowledge of physical properties characterisation techniques and understanding/ knowledge of primary and secondary manufacturing processes
Enjoys working in a laboratory environment and thrive in activities and tasks related to analytical troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis
Excellent inter-personal communication skills, pro-active, self-driven, able to make data-driven decisions and work in cross-functional teams
Possesses a continuous improvement mindset and be able to lead improvement initiatives
