Responsibilities
The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. Responsibilities: - Partner closely with ByteDance's international business lines to deeply understand business models, user scenarios, and growth priorities, and translate these into scalable card issuing product strategies and solutions that support business expansion and innovation. - Leverage knowledge of the card issuing ecosystem, including customer needs, market trends, competitor offerings, scheme requirements, regulatory expectations, and regional market dynamics, to shape differentiated card products and strengthen product value proposition. - Lead the end-to-end design and evolution of card issuing products and capabilities, including areas such as card lifecycle management, authorization controls, transaction processing, spend controls, cardholder experience, settlement flows, and refund/dispute-related journeys, ensuring products are adaptable across multiple international markets and business use cases. - Own product strategy and execution across the full lifecycle - from concept, design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch optimization - covering both user-facing experience and backend platform capabilities, including risk controls, compliance integration, operational tooling, and data frameworks. - Be accountable for core business and product metrics, and continuously enhance issuing product capabilities based on performance insights, regulatory developments, and emerging industry trends, in order to improve adoption, transaction performance, customer experience, and business outcomes. - Drive product optimization through close analysis of user feedback, operational pain points, regulatory requirements, portfolio performance, and market opportunities, strengthening the scalability of the card issuing platform. - Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across business, operations, risk, compliance, finance, partnerships, engineering, and regional teams to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver card issuing capabilities efficiently across multiple markets. - Continuously improve product governance, prioritization, and execution processes to enhance delivery quality, speed, and scalability in support of a growing global card business.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s): - Skilled in communication with various functional teams, establishing cooperation and trust, and able to find effective solutions in multi-team collaborations. - Strong ownership, prompt response, quick implementation, drive, and a spirit of collaboration without boundaries, taking full responsibility for overall business. - Strong business sense and user experience design skills. Strong attention to detail and user experience. Passionate about developing products and experiences with deep customer empathy. - Strong logical thinking and structural thinking, excellent ability of abstraction and induction. - Comfortable with ambiguity and changes in a fast-paced environment self-driven, positive attitude, and team player. - Good communication with global stakeholder collaboration and management skills. Preferred Qualification(s): - 5+ years of experience with hands-on experience of consumer-facing product lifecycle management, including market analysis and user research, requirement analysis, product requirement specification, data analysis and operation. - Payment domain knowledge of the payment/wallet/card/settlement/digital banking related products, cross-border payment or user product experience is preferred. - Familiar with card issuance or other payment scenarios, strong business sensitivity and abstraction ability. - Technical background is preferred.
