Job Description

Captain

Your Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Set up restaurant in accordance to the instructions and requirements given by your superior.

Ensure all equipment, lighting and sound system are in proper and correct working conditions.

Greet and seat guests upon arrival and whenever possible to greet by names.

Always stay alert, attentive and always assume a pleasing and helpful attitude towards
Members and guests.

Address and resolve Members complaints timely and effectively, informing the superior of such
incidents.

Be familiar with the sequence of services and ensure that orders are served properly and
efficiently with the correct utensils.

Responsible for mis en place preparation, table set-ups, linen control, and the proper handling
of equipment.

Possess thorough food and beverage knowledge of the menu, drink list and wine list.

Have a good working knowledge and practices of the P.O.S. and guest check control systems.

Adhere to the service standards, Club rules, regulations and policies established by the Club.

Have good communication between subordinates and other departments particularly the
kitchen.

Perform side duties assigned by superior.

Supervise the correct handling, storage, cleaning, and use of all restaurants equipment in an
effort to avoid breakage/loss and financial implications to the Club.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum GCE N level or NITEC Certification of any discipline and/or WSQ certification.

Previous Food & Beverage experience in a similar environment will be an added advantage.

Customer oriented with a pleasant disposition.

Good interpersonal communication skills and customer oriented with a can-do attitude.

Able to work split shifts, on weekends and public holidays.

Respectful, team player who work cordially with peers and others.

Self-driven to manage tasks assigned.

Work well in a fast-paced environment.
