Overview
The Restaurant Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and present menus.
Take customer orders accurately and input them into the POS system.
Serve food and beverages promptly and in accordance with restaurant standards.
Ensure tables are set, cleaned, and well-maintained during service.
Check on guest satisfaction and address any requests or concerns promptly.
Provide menu recommendations when requested.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Assist with opening and closing duties (e.g., setting tables, polishing cutlery, restocking supplies).
Requirements
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is an advantage but not always required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude and customer-service mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
