About the Role
PaleBlueDot AI is seeking a Capital Markets Analyst to support the company's equity financing, debt financing, and future IPO-related preparation.
This is a hands-on execution role with a strong focus on financial analysis, document preparation, due diligence support, industry research, and financing process coordination. The Analyst will work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with internal finance, legal, business, and external advisory teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support equity financing, debt financing, and other strategic fundraising initiatives.
- Prepare and update investor-facing materials, including pitch decks, investment memos, company profiles, management presentations, financing summaries, and Q&A documents.
- Assist with financial models, valuation analyses, comparable-company analysis, scenario analysis, and fundraising models.
- Collect, organize, verify, and reconcile financial, operational, commercial, and corporate information used in financing materials.
- Prepare and maintain virtual data rooms, due diligence checklists, document indexes, disclosure materials, and investor request trackers.
- Coordinate responses to investor and advisor due diligence requests, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Conduct industry research, peer benchmarking, market mapping, investor research, and capital markets analysis.
- Support investor meetings by preparing briefing materials, meeting packs, background research, presentation materials, and follow-up documents.
- Maintain financing process trackers, transaction timelines, action lists, document versions, meeting records, and internal approval materials.
- Assist with board materials, management updates, financing progress reports, and strategic analysis.
- Proofread and quality-check financial figures, business descriptions, charts, disclosures, and presentation formatting.
- Coordinate with finance, legal, business, operations, and external advisors throughout the financing process.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, capital markets, corporate finance advisory, transaction services, valuation, audit, consulting, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- Good understanding of financial statements, valuation principles, and corporate finance fundamentals.
- Experience preparing professional presentations, financial analyses, transaction documents, or due diligence materials.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, with the ability to produce accurate and well-structured materials.
- Excellent paperwork, writing, proofreading, formatting, and document-management capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies across financial and business information.
- Ability to manage multiple documents and workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality, reliability, and execution discipline.
Preferred Background
- Experience in investment banking, M&A, ECM, DCM, transaction advisory, valuation, or private capital advisory.
- Exposure to equity fundraising, debt financing, due diligence, or IPO preparation.
- Experience covering technology, AI, cloud infrastructure, data centers, energy, or other capital-intensive industries.
- Familiarity with investor presentations, data rooms, comparable-company analysis, and transaction process management.
