Your Job

We are seeking an Analyst, Capacity Strategy to support Molex's manufacturing and supply chain organizations by coordinating capacity planning processes, data, and cross‑functional routines. This role plays a critical part in aligning capacity with demand, supporting strategic growth, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the network.

Our Team

You will work closely with Plant Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Engineering, and commercial stakeholders. This role partners across functions and sites to bring structure, visibility, and execution discipline to capacity planning and governance.

What You Will Do

  • Capacity Planning & GovernanceCoordinate the recurring capacity planning cadence (monthly/quarterly), including meeting scheduling, agendas, action tracking, and follow-ups.Maintain a standardized capacity review process across plants/sites (e.g., utilization, bottlenecks, constraints, recovery plans).Support governance routines that connect capacity decisions to S&OP/IBP, site operating reviews, and business planning.
  • Data, Reporting & InsightsConsolidate capacity-related inputs (labor, equipment, tooling, floor space, yield, OEE, cycle times, changeovers) and ensure data consistency across sites.Build and maintain dashboards and reporting packages for leadership visibility (capacity vs. demand, constraint heatmaps, lead-time risk, capex pipeline).Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and assumptions in capacity models coordinate corrections with site SMEs.
  • Cross-Functional CoordinationAct as the coordination point between Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Commercial teams to align on assumptions and priorities.Track capacity-related initiatives (debottlenecking, productivity, outsourcing/insourcing, line moves, dual sourcing) and communicate status/risks.Support scenario planning (e.g., demand surges, new program ramps, end-of-life transitions, plant disruptions).
  • Continuous ImprovementStandardize templates, definitions, and methods for capacity measurement and modeling.Document processes and train stakeholders on tools and routines.Support improvement projects that increase capacity visibility, responsiveness, and decision quality.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain planning, operations analytics, or program coordination
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, basic modeling) and comfort working with large datasets
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional workflows with strong follow‑through and attention to detail
  • Analytical & systems thinking - able to connect demand, capacity constraints, and investment choices into clear, data‑driven options
  • Execution discipline - effectively manages planning cadence, actions, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
  • Clear communicator - synthesizes complex data into concise, actionable messages for diverse audiences
  • Collaborative mindset - builds trust with plants and functional teams drives alignment without direct authority
  • Principled entrepreneurship & value creation mindset - focuses on long‑term value, scalability, and continuous improvement

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Familiarity with S&OP / IBP processes and manufacturing capacity concepts (OEE, bottlenecks, cycle time)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and reporting tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
  • Exposure to electronics or high‑mix manufacturing environments (connectors, molding, stamping, plating, assembly)
  • Basic understanding of financial and capex business cases
