Role Description

This is a full-time, fully remote role for a Medical Interpreter specializing in OPI/VRI. In this role, you will provide professional interpretation services between patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and cultural sensitivity. Responsibilities include interpreting medical conversations in real-time, maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and facilitating accurate communication in both Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) settings. Additionally, you will continuously develop your proficiency in medical terminology and adhere to the standards of accuracy and impartiality in medical interpretation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Interpretation and understanding of Medical Terminology
• Expertise in Translation and Interpreting in healthcare settings
• Strong skills in Simultaneous Interpretation
• Exceptional communication and cultural competency
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency with certification or proven experience as a Medical Interpreter
• Ability to manage remote OPI/VRI interpretation technology effectively
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
• Availability to work flexible schedules and handle diverse medical scenarios
• Native or advanced fluency in English and Cantonese language

• Computer with webcam capable of 1080p video
