About Us
No Nonsense Foods (N2) is a registered food stall at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) North Canteen, Ang Mo Kio. We serve freshly prepared protein meals to students and staff daily. We are a small, stable team looking for a committed cook to anchor our daily kitchen operations.
Role Summary
You will be the main cook running the stall from morning preparation through to afternoon service. This is a hands-on, independent role suited to someone experienced in canteen or institutional cooking.
What You Will Do
- Marinate and oven-roast chicken daily
- Cook rice and stir-fry vegetables for service
- Prepare ingredients including vegetable cutting and sauce preparation
- Serve and portion meals for customers
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness including dishwashing
- Uphold food freshness and hygiene standards throughout service
What We Are Looking For
- Singaporean Citizens and PRs only
- WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene Level 1 (or willing to obtain upon hiring)
- Experience in kitchen or canteen cooking preferred, but not required. Willingness to learn and take ownership of the role is more important.
- Able to work independently and manage the station without supervision
- Punctual, responsible, and consistent
Working Arrangement
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- 7.00am to 4.00pm (1 hour meal break included)
- Optional Sunday shifts available for ingredient preparation ahead of Monday service (hours and compensation to be discussed)
- Location: NYP North Canteen, Ang Mo Kio Ave 8
Salary
S$2,380 to S$2,600 per month (gross, inclusive of CPF contributions), commensurate with experience
