Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous, and inquiry-based lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum
- Prepare students for Cambridge assessments, ensuring strong academic outcomes in both Physics and Chemistry
- Design and conduct practical laboratory sessions in accordance with A-Level standards, maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
- Integrate educational technologies and varied teaching strategies to enhance student engagement
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold high standards of academic integrity
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by school leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Mathematics, or a related field from a reputable university (Master's degree preferred)
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum at Secondary and A-Level
- Strong subject knowledge in both Physics and Chemistry
- Proven track record of successful student outcomes in Cambridge examinations
- Experience conducting A-Level standard laboratory practicals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and classroom management abilities
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in spoken and written English
