Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous, and inquiry-based lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum
  • Prepare students for Cambridge assessments, ensuring strong academic outcomes in both Physics and Chemistry
  • Design and conduct practical laboratory sessions in accordance with A-Level standards, maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Integrate educational technologies and varied teaching strategies to enhance student engagement
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Maintain strong classroom management and uphold high standards of academic integrity
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by school leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Mathematics, or a related field from a reputable university (Master's degree preferred)
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTS or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum at Secondary and A-Level
  • Strong subject knowledge in both Physics and Chemistry
  • Proven track record of successful student outcomes in Cambridge examinations
  • Experience conducting A-Level standard laboratory practicals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and classroom management abilities
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
