Responsibilities
- Portion food accurately and store in designated containers to maintain freshness
- Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations to uphold hygiene standards
- Manage inventory by restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes and sweeping/mopping floors regularly
- Proactively identify and undertake additional tasks to support kitchen efficiency
- Collaborate with team members by sharing ideas and providing support to achieve common goals
- Follow directions from the head chef and senior kitchen staff to meet kitchen requirements
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support kitchen operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possess a food handler certificate (preferred but not required)
- Willingness to learn and adapt through provided training, including candidates with no prior experience
