Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee using a semi-automatic espresso machine to ensure consistent espresso extraction, milk texturing, and attractive drink presentation
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service to create a welcoming caf experience
- Respond accurately to customer enquiries by phone and face-to-face about pastry selections, product ingredients, packaging options, custom orders, and availability
- Recommend products and upsell to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the caf, coffee station, and display counters to ensure a safe and pleasant environment
- Assist with replenishing pastry displays and managing basic stock levels to support smooth operations
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily caf operations and timely service delivery
Required competencies and certifications
- Full-time availability including weekends and public holidays as required
- Experience operating a semi-automatic espresso machine
- Good understanding of coffee basics including espresso extraction and milk steaming
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior caf or food and beverage experience
- Food Hygiene Certification
