Job Description

  • Team Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and motivate caf staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Schedule shifts and manage team performance to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
  • Act as a point of escalation for staff issues or conflicts.
  • Operational Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the caf, ensuring efficiency and a smooth workflow.
  • Conduct opening and closing procedures, which include cash handling, financial reporting, and security checks.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.

3. Customer Experience

  • Ensure that customers receive excellent service and address any concerns or complaints professionally.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, ambiance, and overall presentation of the caf.
  • Engage with customers to build relationships and enhance loyalty.
  • Health and Safety Compliance
  • Ensure that all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards are adhered to.
  • Conduct regular inspections and train staff on best practices.
  • Sales and Promotions
  • Assist in achieving sales targets by upselling products and promoting specials.
  • Implement promotional strategies and seasonal campaigns to attract customers.
  • Reporting and Feedback
  • Provide regular reports on sales, staff performance, and customer feedback to management.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions for operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Strong Experiences
  • A minimum of 23 years of supervisory experience in a caf, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong understanding of caf operations, including food and beverage preparation.
  • Effective Leadership
  • Skills in leadership and team management, with the ability to inspire and guide staff.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, particularly during busy periods.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.
  • F&B Passion & Knowledge
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and menu planning is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and manage physically demanding tasks, including lifting and stocking.
  • Awesome Personal Traits
  • Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a positive and approachable demeanour.
  • Education/Certifications
  • Certification in hospitality management, food safety, or barista training is preferred.
