Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and responsible Cafe Cook to support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and quality control. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced caf environment and takes pride in delivering consistent food quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare caf food items such as brunch dishes, light mains, and side dishes following standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality
- Assist with plating desserts, waffles, bingsu, and simple pastries to meet presentation standards
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation by applying proper cooking and finishing techniques
- Follow food handling, storage, and hygiene practices to ensure kitchen safety and compliance
- Support daily mise en place by preparing ingredients and organizing kitchen stations for efficient service
- Clean and organize kitchen workstations to maintain a safe and tidy environment
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control to ensure availability of ingredients
- Adhere to kitchen safety procedures and company standards during all food preparation activities
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in a caf, restaurant, or kitchen environment
- Basic knowledge of caf food preparation techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Responsible, disciplined, and eager to learn new skills
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork spirit
- Availability to work on weekends and public holidays
