Job Description & Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with C&S consultants to develop and refine structural schemes for buildings and structures.
- Prepare technical submissions and project quality plans for tender projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
- Conduct engineering design in accordance with Eurocodes or other relevant international design codes.
- Assist in preparing permit /ST applications for design approval with authorities.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Effectively represent the engineering team in project meetings with clients and consultants from other disciplines.
- Participate in site progress meetings, addressing technical queries from construction personnel.
- Review and approve structural drawings for accuracy and compliance with design standards.
- Design temporary works that are safe, cost-effective, and meet project requirements.
- Oversee he installation of structural components to ensure adherence to design specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering accredited by the Professional Engineering Board of Singapore.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the construction industry with a demonstrated understanding of structural design principles.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant codes of practice, building regulations, and authority submission and approval procedures.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise deadlines.
