Buyer (6 Months Contract)

Roles & Responsibilities

Salary: $3,000 per month, with $100 transport.

Contract duration: 6 Months

Location: Woodlands (Opposite MRT)

Industry: Life Science Manufacturing (US MNC)

Assisting in the buying role of the parts purchase function for value stream/production.

• Using Oracle system to issue purchase order to suppliers upon value stream trigger Kanban order or manual trigger Kanban order when VS is short of hand.
• Follow up urgent parts by filling up urgent tracker for receiving and QC tracker.
• Monitor suppliers PO acknowledgement & on time delivery of materials.
• Follow up closely on past due orders & expedite critical materials for value stream.
• Follow up on urgent FA submission results.
• Liaise with Global Sourcing for price & MOQ variance and approved supplier set-up forms.
• Issue Blanket Purchase Orders to suppliers based on forecast demand and VMI orders.
• Assist finance in finding out the reason for the invoice on hold and solve in the given grace period.
• Send monthly forecast to suppliers.
• Daily update materials status
• Liaise 3PL issues in daily basis, eg. discrepancy in kit delivery and FRU trigger or incorrect part.
• Investigate for suppliers in 3PL program if Sciex Weekly
• Receipt Report is not tally with 3PL Weekly delivery report.
• Assisting team lead to check on aging stock for suppliers in 3PL program if suppliers feedback some parts are not moving more than 30 days at 3PL.
• Proposed VMI setup parts and updated new parts set up in VMI tracker.
• Follow up on urgent FA submission results.
• Annual PI count reconciliation and GEMBA if there are discrepancies and rectify with corrective action.
