We are seeking a Business System Analyst with a strong technical foundation and proven experience in shipping systems. The role serves as the link between business users and IT, driving improvements across multiple functions.
Key Highlights Of The Role
- Partner with business teams (documentation, operations, customer service, sales) to gather and translate requirements into functional solutions.
- Provide daily support for shipping applications, investigating issues and ensuring timely resolution.
- Analyze, streamline, and optimize shipping workflows, system processes, and integrations.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams on system enhancements, bug fixes, and change requests.
- Participate in system rollouts, upgrades, UAT, and training activities for end-users.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, training guides, and user materials.
- Perform data analysis and reporting, leveraging SQL and shipping knowledge to support decision-making.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and propose preventive improvements.
- Support ERP transformation projects, new module rollouts, and application upgrades.
- Manage project coordination, from scoping and feasibility studies to delivery and stakeholder alignment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5 years of systems/applications analysis experience, in shipping applications (e.g., CargoWise, Solverminds).
- Strong knowledge of shipping workflows (bookings, BL/documentation, scheduling, EDI, and cargo tracking).
- Technical proficiency in SQL, EDI standards, and integration tools (REST, XML, JSON).
