Job Description
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support the Group Retail Operations Head. The intern will work closely with leadership teams across markets, supporting operational tracking, and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Group Retail Operations Head & team in day-to-day regional business management and operational coordination
- Prepare and maintain presentation materials (PowerPoint decks) for senior management, governance forums, and regional meetings
- Track outstanding action items, issues, and deliverables across regional stakeholders and follow up to ensure timely closure
- Assist in business financial, HC & performance tracking, including data consolidation, analysis, and reporting
- Leverage Excel to manage datasets, perform analysis, build trackers, and support management dashboards
- Conduct basic research and prepare summary insights to support decision-making and regional initiatives
- Coordinate across teams to gather information, ensure data accuracy, and maintain documentation
- Collaborate & partner with other UOB functions on operational risk management & process control review for regional operations
- Support regional financial & HC budgeting for 2027
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Operations Management, or a related discipline
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational and commercial drivers
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, data analysis) including PowerQuery & Macro.
- Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to structure clear, concise, and senior-ready presentations
- Familiar with Microsoft list, Sharepoint site usability & setup
- Power automate/Power BI skill set is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to track multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging regional stakeholders
- Self-motivated, disciplined, resourceful and comfortable/adaptable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Attributes
- Prior internship or project experience in banking, consulting, operations, or corporate roles
- Interest in retail banking, operations, and business management
