Job Summary:
This role focuses on MPI (DPT)related business setup, licensing support, and execution. The role is hands-on and execution-driven, supporting senior management by structuring viable MPI business models and driving implementation once direction is agreed.
This is not a P&L owner or pure strategist role. The role is responsible for turning regulatory and commercial ambiguity into executable plans and real progress, working closely with compliance, legal, technology, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
1. MPI (DPT) Business Structuring & Execution
- Research and structure MPI/DPT business models (e.g. custody, conversion, tokenization-related activities).
- Develop practical go-to-market options:
- Target client segments
- Use cases
- Product and service scope
- Clearly articulate assumptions, risks, constraints, and trade-offs for each option.
2. Regulatory & Licensing Support
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams to:
- Support MPI (DPT) license application preparation
- Interpret MAS regulatory requirements
- Translate regulatory obligations into operational, product, and technology implications
- Prepare materials and execution plans to support senior management decision-making.
3. Cross-Functional Execution
- Coordinate with:
- Technology teams on platform readiness and constraints
- Operations on workflows and controls
- Compliance and risk on regulatory alignment
- Drive approved MPI initiatives from alignment execution implementation.
Requirements
- 610 years of experience in fintech, digital assets, or regulated financial services
- Experience supporting new regulated business models or license-driven initiatives
- Strong ability to:
- Break down ambiguous regulatory and commercial problems
- Produce structured options and execution plans
- Comfortable working with:
- Compliance, legal, and regulators
- Engineers and operations teams
- Familiarity with MAS regulations and digital asset/tokenization concepts is a strong advantage
