Business Performance & Insights Manager

We're looking for a commercially minded, data-driven professional who can turn business data into clear insight and action.

This role is not about producing reports. It's about using data to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and help the business scale sustainably. You don't need to come from a finance background but you must be someone who has used data analysis in real business scenarios to drive measurable outcomes.

You will connect sales, delivery, financial and people metrics into a coherent performance narrative, giving leadership visibility into how growth, execution and capacity link to business goals.

What You'll Do

Sales & Growth Performance

  • Analyse sales pipeline health, conversion trends, win/loss patterns and revenue realisation by Service Line
  • Assess sales productivity (e.g. revenue per head, quota attainment, deal velocity)
  • Identify risks and opportunities against targets, providing actionable recommendations
  • Translate data into commercial insight that informs growth strategy

Delivery & Operational Performance

  • Define and monitor key delivery KPIs (e.g. utilisation, backlog, SLA adherence, project margin)
  • Analyse order-to-cash performance and operational bottlenecks
  • Highlight gaps between operational execution and financial/customer commitments
  • Use data to recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability

Financial & Commercial Insight

  • Integrate operational and sales data with financial performance indicators (revenue, gross margin, EBITDA etc.)
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify root causes behind performance shifts
  • Support forecasting through data-backed insight into capacity and pipeline realities

Note: You do not need to be a finance specialist but you must be comfortable interpreting commercial performance metrics and understanding how they connect to business outcomes.

People & Capacity Planning

  • Analyse headcount, productivity, attrition and workforce capacity
  • Highlight alignment (or misalignment) between talent supply and demand
  • Use workforce data to support affordability and scaling decisions

Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop performance dashboards and scorecards across key business dimensions
  • Establish a consistent performance review cadence
  • Ensure insights lead to accountability and tracked actions
  • Provide forward-looking, predictive insights not just historical reporting
  • What We're Looking For

    • 6+ years experience in business performance, operations, commercial analytics, sales operations, strategy or similar roles
    • Strong hands-on experience analysing real business data and influencing decision-making
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex datasets into clear, commercially relevant insights
    • Experience working across multiple data sources (CRM, ERP, HRIS etc.)
    • Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar) and advanced Excel / modelling capability
    • Comfortable engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
    • Experience in Telecommunications, ICT or tech-enabled businesses is a plus
    • Methodology exposure (Agile, Six Sigma, ITIL etc.) is beneficial but not essential.
