About the Role
We are a growing SME in the scaffold construction trade seeking a detail-oriented.
Business Operations Analyst
This is a high-visibility role where you will directly impact our cash flow and operational efficiency. Initially, your focus will be on strengthening our financial and project tracking processes, with the long-term goal of becoming a subject matter expert in our general business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract & Claims Management: Tally and manage contracts to ensure they align perfectly with project progress claims.
- Billing & Invoicing: Generate and submit accurate progress claims and invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Financial Tracking: Maintain and follow up on Statement of Accounts (SOA), tracking pending unpaid invoices and managing client payables.
- Project Analysis: Conduct weekly tracking and comparison of project progress to identify variances or delays.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare and present weekly updates to the Board of Directors, providing insights into project health and financial status.
- Credit Control: Proactively handle follow-ups with clients to ensure healthy cash flow for the business.
Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in the Singapore construction industry is highly preferred, especially familiarity with Progress Claims and the Security of Payment (SOP) Act.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and comparison is essential.
- Communication: Strong presentation skills to report effectively to senior stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
- Mindset: A proactive builder mentality suited for an SME environment-willing to be hands-on now to grow into broader scopes later.
