Position Description
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer Singapore (SG COO), the Business Manager - Singapore is responsible for the robust operation of the business within their location. This includes all aspects of the operational processes and infrastructure required to support the business. Responsibilities can be separated into the three core areas covering Operational and Administrative/Support including, but not limited to:

Operational Responsibilities
Overall Operational responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Assist SG COO in:
- Planning, organizing and control of all day-to-day activities of the local office
- Budget planning and tracking throughout the fiscal cycle
- Manage local legal, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements such as outsourcing assessments, tax related reporting etc.
- Work with global support functions to ensure their requirements, policies and procedures are implemented in Singapore
- Ensure that control and risk management issues are identified and addressed appropriately, including items raised through Internal Audit, External Audit and other bodies
- Implement broader operational initiatives and activities locally as directed by SG COO, SG Country Head or Global management
Reporting & Escalation
- The key principle underlying reporting and escalation is that there should be no surprises, as such:
- The SG COO should be kept appraised of any key local issues that may have a wider impact on the Company or that are material in the local context
- The Business and Support Heads should be kept appraised of any key issues that impact their functions
- Assist SG COO in governance meetings and other reporting requirements including, but not limited to:
- Location Governance Meeting (monthly)
- Other governance meetings required by the local entities / business by the regulators
- Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reporting requirements
- Other ad-hoc reporting or request for information
Operational Risk Management including, but not limited to:
- Work with relevant stakeholders on Incident Management in line with the Company Incident policy.
- Work with relevant stakeholders Audit Point Management in line with Audit and Compliance departments
- Work with IT and Admin departments on Business Resiliency Management, BCP Testing and Crisis Management Team (CMT) coordination.
Administrative & Support Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial services industry.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry
- Leadership skills including goal setting and providing appropriate feedback
- Disciplined approach to compliance and enforcement of policies
- Strong Problem-Solving skills and Analytical ability
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Action oriented and achievement focused
