JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Rest Of Asia Asset Development
- This role focuses on the project management and the HDPE product line from Shaheen in collaboration with the LLDPE Senior Manager
- Push for conversion of business model from current PP agreement to a clean netback model negotiating optimal coverage for cost to serve elements comprehensively covering all elements beyond freight costs
- Develop comprehensive cost model for integrated complex (upstream/downstream) to derive thorough understanding of feedstock cost competitiveness of new Lummus crude to chemical technology
- Develop comprehensive understanding of strengths and weaknesses of licensed gas phase Univation technology for cost and performance of polymer products
- Decide on market / regions to target. Develop product portfolio optimized towards target markets and applications
- Develop engagement model with S-Oil with associated operating rhythms to manage go to market strategies (product portfolio, business model, quality, supply chain, OTC process)
- Develop export strategies outside ROA (China, Europe, Turkey, MEAF, Americas) to further optimize SABIC profitability
Local Asset Business Management
- Creates and determines the Pricing strategy per market
- Controls the execution and alignment of the pricing strategy by setting minimum pricing
- Initiates and executes strategy to drive increasing value pricing differentiation by creating innovative Pricing programs and empowering Sales team within market to drive pricing behaviors that will maximize profitability
- Evaluates and makes decisions on customer pricing offers & value proposition with strong understanding of the market dynamics to ensure we achieve the targeted footprint and market share in each of the 20 countries that we operate in
- Determines and owns the Product strategy per market
- Evaluates product performance, market trend and customer feedback to generate new product ideas, industry roadmap & applications, identifies product/service features that need to be changed to meet customer needs, and liaises with enabling areas of the organization (Sales, MDTS & TM, Value Teams, Manufacturing) to implement these changes to enhance differentiation, achieve price premium and overall margin & profitability
- Makes decisions on which products to start, stop, improve, kill for the region
- Lead new product initiatives implementation into each market and build business cases to identify and implement new business opportunities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or Mathematics / Statistics or related disciplines
- At least 10 years of proven track record of successful Business experience in the petrochemical or in a similar industrial environment
- Broad experience in the relationship between sales, development, supply chain and manufacturing
- Strong Financial background & knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong strategic planning skills
