Business Manager — Marine Outboard & Power Products

Location: Ubi, Singapore (East)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is a well-established Singapore-based distributor of marine

outboard engines and power products, with a long-standing presence in

the local marine and power equipment market. The company serves

dealers, marinas, boat builders, commercial operators and direct

customers across Singapore and the region.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full P&L-style leadership role owning both the commercial and

aftersales sides of the marine outboard and power products business.

You will lead the sales and service teams, grow the dealer network, and

be accountable for revenue, margin and customer satisfaction.

This role is best suited to someone who already knows the marine

outboard market — its brands, dealers, seasonality and technical

realities — and can step in with existing industry credibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Management

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets

for marine outboard and power products.

- Lead and manage the sales team to deliver annual targets.

- Identify and grow new business through dealerships, tenders and

direct customers.

- Build and maintain relationships with dealers, marinas, boat

builders and other industry stakeholders.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs, and

adjust the sales approach accordingly.

- Prepare management reporting including forecasts, budgets and

performance reviews.

Business Development & Partnerships

- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, events and exhibitions to

build brand awareness.

- Negotiate contracts and partnerships with suppliers, dealers and

service providers.

- Explore opportunities to expand product lines and service offerings.

Aftersales & Service Operations

- Oversee all aftersales activity including warranty claims, repairs

and maintenance programmes.

- Ensure timely availability of spare parts and accessories.

- Establish and enforce service quality standards to drive customer

satisfaction.

- Ensure technical training is maintained across the service team for

marine outboard engines and power products.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor and motivate the sales and service teams.

- Conduct performance reviews and develop staff capability.

Operational & Financial Management

- Manage departmental budgets with accountability for cost efficiency

and profitability.

- Track KPIs including sales growth, service turnaround time and

customer satisfaction.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards and

company policies.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Direct, hands-on experience in the marine outboard industry is

essential for this role. Applicants without marine outboard

experience are unlikely to be shortlisted.

- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development or

commercial operations within the marine outboard, marine leisure or

closely related power equipment sector.

- Working knowledge of marine outboard engines, dealer/distributor

structures, and aftersales and warranty processes.

- Proven track record in sales management and delivering revenue

targets.

- Demonstrated experience in dealer network management, distribution

or partnership development.

- Strong leadership and team management capability across both sales

and service functions.

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Engineering,

Marine Technology or a related field.

DESIRABLE

- Existing dealer, marina or boat builder relationships in Singapore

or the region.

- Experience owning a departmental P&L, including budgeting,

forecasting and KPI tracking.

- Exposure to exhibitions, boat shows or trade events.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

- 5-day work week, Monday to Friday

- Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 8:30am – 6:30pm | Wed: 8:30am – 5:30pm

- Workplace located in the east of Singapore (Ubi area)

- Applicants must be eligible to work in Singapore
