Job Description

The Business Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, people development, and business performance across a defined group of McDonald's restaurants. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role is responsible for coaching and guiding Business Consultants and partnering with Restaurant Managers to maximize sales, profitability, and brand reputation. Through strategic oversight and operational rigor, the Business Manager ensures consistent, high-quality restaurant execution while fostering a people-first culture that supports crew engagement, talent development, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Brand Standards

  • Ensure operational consistency and adherence to McDonald's standards in QSC (Quality, Service, Cleanliness), food safety, and customer experience.
  • Teach and reinforce core operational systems and best practices that enable outstanding restaurant execution.
  • Regularly visit restaurants to assess performance, coach leadership teams, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Business Performance & Growth

  • Overseeing 30+ restaurants, lead the development and execution of market-level business plans to achieve financial targets including sales growth, profitability, and operational KPIs.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools to identify trends and build actionable strategies.
  • Lead business consultants to ensure optimal staffing levels, cost management, and resource utilization.

Marketing & Local Store Activation

  • Ensure alignment and execution of national and local marketing campaigns, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Guide restaurants in developing localized marketing and community engagement plans that support growth and brand loyalty.

Asset Management & Development

  • Lead annual reinvestment planning for new stores, rebuilds, remodels, and equipment upgrades.
  • Partner with Development and Real Estate teams to support site selection and maximize market potential.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop high-performing Business Consultants.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations with clear feedback, goals, and development plans for Business Consultants and Restaurateurs.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, recognition, and inclusion throughout all restaurant operations.
  • Partner with HR to implement succession planning, workforce planning, and career progression programs across the assigned market.

What We are Looking For:

  • 8-10 Years of experience in restaurant operations
  • Proven track record of coaching and leading high-performing teams to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and build actionable plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels.
