The business financial manager role involves building and maintaining client relationships, generating newbusiness opportunities, and guiding SMEs through the financing process. He/she acts as an intermediary between borrowers andlenders, helping clients secure financing (mortgage, personal, or SME) byidentifying suitable options, negotiating terms, and managing the applicationprocess.
They assess creditworthiness, compare rates, and ensurecompliance with regulations, often working for commissions or fees. This is a full commission based job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities through various channels (cold-calling, networking, referrals, and partnerships).
- Build strong relationships with SME owners and decision-makers.
- Understand client business needs and recommend suitable loan solutions.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions to structure loan applications.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by converting qualified leads into successful deals.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline progress.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business, Finance, or related fields (preferred, but not compulsory).
- Prior experience in sales, business development, or financial services is an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Goal-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with SME loans or financial products will be a plus (training provided).
