JOB SUMMARY

The Business Finance Analyst is responsible for assisting and supporting Business Management in a wide range of financial, commercial, and strategic matters across the region. This role plays an instrumental part in driving business performance by providing timely financial analysis, insightful reporting, forecast support, and commercial evaluations to facilitate decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. Weekly, Quarterly Forecast and Long-Term Plan Preparation

. Prepare forecast for the business unit and ensure timely submission.

. Prepare and analyse trends in revenue, margin, profit, working capital and free cash flow.

. Compare forecast results to quarterly targets, historical actual results and different forecast cycles and provide commentaries on key variances.

. Prepare and support the forecast review with the management. Identify and highlight key issues and concerns.

. Ensure seamless forecast process and improve forecast accuracy.

. Month-end or Quarter-end Closing Process

. Collect rebate from suppliers and manage the chargeback / sorting cost claim from suppliers.

. Review journal entries (recurring and ad-hoc) prepared by finance to check completeness and accuracy.

. Provide finance and relevant stakeholders all the necessary information to ensure smooth month-end closing. Example, Warranty provision, Material Liability Accrual, Non-Recurring Expense deferral, Inter-company cross charges, Customer charges, Profit Allocation for Internal Customers etc

. Work closely with AR team for AR past overdue issues to minimize the AR past due

. Review actual financials and identify variance with weekly or quarterly forecast.

. Work closely with Finance team on accounting treatment, audit queries or issues related to the business.

. Business Finance Support

. Assist and support BUMs/BUDs in financial and commercial matters. Support General Matters - example Customer setup - need bank info/W-8Ben-E/ Jabil financial report etc.

. Coordinate with other departments in preparation of ad-hoc analysis and reports.

. Support cross-entity business expansion and ensure smooth commercial transactions between Jabil, Supplier and Customers.

. Act as key liaison between Jabil, Supplier and service providers for commercial financial matters.

. Streamline processes and improve efficiency and effectiveness.

. Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.

. Utilize tools to monitor costs and margin trend at project level. E.g BI dashboard, Copilot, Claude etc

. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

. Advanced PC skills, , Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

. Hands-on experience with SAP, Prism, Concur and Coupa is preferred.

. Familiar with AI tools to automate processes is add-on advantage e.g ChatGpt, Copilot, Claude etc

. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management or stakeholders.

. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

. Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine financial performance.

. Strong and convincing communication skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.

. 4 or more years experience in a relevant position.
