Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Strategy Development
- Based on the company's overall strategy and business development goals, lead the team to formulate client acquisition strategies for new markets and industries, defining expansion directions, targets, and implementation roadmaps.
- Focus on the merchant segment to drive cross-border payment partnership initiatives. Design and deliver customized, high-quality payment solutions tailored to merchants operational models and needs, securing business partnerships.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of payment business initiatives. Monitor market trends, industry shifts, and competitor activities in real time, adjust expansion strategies accordingly, and proactively identify new sales opportunities and channel resources to continuously broaden business coverage.
Goal Achievement & Project Execution
- Be results-driven and fully accountable for both individual and team targets. Break down performance goals, develop action plans, and ensure the successful completion of the company's overall performance objectives.
- Lead the full lifecycle of business partnership projects — from initial negotiations and solution design to deal closure and implementation. Independently coordinate and drive project execution, manage key milestones, and ensure efficient project delivery.
- Deeply engage in key projects, resolve issues that arise during execution, and ensure smooth collaboration and the realization of expected value.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain long-term, stable relationships with merchants. Conduct regular client follow-ups and needs assessments to gain deep insights into their business development plans and pain points, continuously optimizing partnership solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Respond promptly to client feedback and requests, properly handle issues and disputes during collaboration, and uphold the company's brand image and commercial reputation.
Team Building & Management
- Manage daily team operations, establish clear workflows and role definitions, and set performance standards to ensure team efficiency.
- Support team members career development and skill growth through tailored development plans, business coaching, experience sharing, and training programs, elevating the team's overall expertise and professionalism.
- Foster a collaborative, goal-oriented team culture that motivates members and encourages creativity. Lead the team to achieve business objectives while enabling both team and individual growth.
Market Insights & Resource Integration
- Continuously conduct market research and analysis, gathering intelligence on industry policies, market data, and customer needs. Produce market analysis reports to support business planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Product, Technology, Operations, and Risk Control. Integrate internal technical, product, and service resources, as well as external industry networks, to provide comprehensive support for business expansion and project execution.
- Demonstrate strong problem-identification, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Propose actionable improvements to enhance business processes and partnership models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, with strong learning and comprehension skills to quickly master industry knowledge, business models, and product features.
- 15+ years of experience in business development or sales, including 5+ years in team management. Background in the payment industry is highly preferred.
- Proficient in English as a second working language, with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to support cross-border business communication and documentation needs.
- Outstanding business development capabilities, with logical thinking and precise, efficient communication skills to accurately identify client needs and drive partnerships.
- Strong market expansion mindset and negotiation skills, capable of independently leading end-to-end execution of business partnership projects.
- Good team player with the ability to collaborate across functions, coupled with strong problem-anticipation and resolution skills.
- Results-oriented with excellent self-management abilities, capable of planning and executing daily work effectively to align personal career growth with the company's development goals.
