Job Title: Business Development Specialist (F&B)
Job Type: 12months contract with a possibility to extend or to go perm!
Salary: S$3-500-4,200/month plus commissions
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own face-to-face engagement with merchant partners in your designated area through regular visits and relationship building.
- Execute the Area Manager playbook by planning visits, understanding merchants businesses, and ensuring high-quality interactions.
- Resolve merchant issues promptly or escalate when necessary, coordinating with Product, Support, and Operations teams.
- Train merchants on company tools (Merchant App, Self-serve Marketing features, Insights portal) to enhance adoption and business outcomes.
- Act as the voice of merchants within company by collecting feedback and sharing best practices.
- Develop expertise on your area's merchant landscape, competitive environment, and local market nuances to identify growth opportunities.
- Track key performance indicators such as Engagement, Satisfaction Scores, Product Adoption, Retention, and Time-to-Resolution.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in account management, business development, or field sales (F&B or e-commerce experience a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust face-to-face.
- Problem solver, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working with data and tracking KPIs to drive actions.
- Resilient, empathetic, and customer-focused.
- Proficiency in Chinese is required, as the role involves communication with Chinese stakeholders and customers.
