The Role
We are seeking a driven and proactive Business Development - Senior Executive or Assistant Manager to support the Director - Business Development across client engagement, sales activity and pipeline growth.
This role is suitable for a candidate with experience in trust administration, corporate services, compliance or related financial services with a good understanding of regulatory requirements and client due diligence processes. While experience in business development or sales is advantageous, we remain open to strong, less experienced profiles with the right attitude, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to train into a client-facing, sales-oriented career path.
The successful candidate will report to, and work closely in supporting, the Business Development, Director across commercial, client-facing and sales-related activity. This includes supporting relationship development with intermediaries, participating in client and intermediary meetings, managing structured follow-up actions and preparing client-facing documents, proposals and onboarding materials. Over time, the candidate will be expected to develop a network to further support the achievement of the team's sales target.

Duties
Client & Intermediary Engagement Support
- Preparation of pitch materials, proposals and client presentations
- Attend client and intermediary meetings together with the Director - Business Development
- Prepare detailed meeting notes and ensure all action items and follow-ups are completed in a timely and professional manner
- Support relationship-building activities with key intermediaries with a focus on developing professional credibility and trust
Sales & Pipeline Development
- Develop familiarity with the firm's services and cross-selling opportunities
- Assist the Director - Business Development in identifying new business opportunities across trust, corporate and fund administration services
- Contribute towards a team sales target, with expectations calibrated to seniority and experience
- Track and report on business development activities and pipeline progress
Onboarding, Internal Coordination & Administrative Support
- Maintain, update and prepare business development documentation and templates
- Carry out client onboarding processes, including client liaison, collation and review of KYC documentation and completion of onboarding procedures in compliance with regulation and internal policy
- Foster good relationships with internal stakeholders including compliance, middle office and front office teams to ensure smooth coordination during onboarding and a thorough handover post onboarding
Supervisory
- This position reports directly to the Business Development, Director. It is not a line-management role; however, there is an expectation of some supervisory oversight and delegation of administrative tasks to the Business Development Executive during the onboarding process, including review of proposals, draft emails and other materials
Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law or a related field
- STEP Diploma or another relevant professional qualification (or willingness to begin STEP studies) is an advantage
- 3 - 4 years experience in trust, corporate or fund administration services, compliance or a related financial services role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised individual with the ability to manage own workload
- Ability to work effectively with time-sensitive commercial pressures, including an annual team sales target
- Familiarity with KYC, AML and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot). Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM system or CLMi onboarding tool also advantageous
- A collaborative team-player with a positive mindset
- Experience in a client/intermediary-facing or business development support role within a trust company, corporate services firm, bank, law firm or other financial institution
- Ability to build rapport and establish credibility with senior intermediaries
- A professional demeanour suitable for ultra-high net worth private client environments and senior-level intermediary meetings
